Detroit Pump & Mfg. Co. is a major distributor of pumps and fluid handling products representing many of the world's leading pump manufacturers. The company provides services including local engineering support, inside and outside sales, pumps and parts inventory, fabrication, repair and warranty to customers in the industrial, municipal, food, paper, chemical, steel, pharmaceutical, utilities, automotive paint finishing and OEM automotive markets. The company pursues opportunities in the State of Michigan, where it is incorporated, as well as throughout North America for automotive capitol projects.

Detroit Pump's main office occupies a 17,000 square foot building in Ferndale Michigan. Approximately 6,000 square feet is inventory/warehouse, 7,000 square feet of manufacturing space dedicated to assembly and repair and the remainder used for office space. The shop itself has three one-ton pedestal jib cranes and a two-ton beam crane for repair. Detroit Pump has a sales office in Grand Rapids and currently employs 28 people.
